Dual cartridge guns are primarily engineered for low-to-medium volume assembly, intermittent maintenance, or flexible batch processing rather than continuous high-speed automation. However, for prototyping or pilot runs, it remains the most cost-effective method to validate adhesive performance.

Successful dispensing relies on matching three physical variables: the outlet interface, the volumetric ratio, and the mixer’s internal pressure rating. You must ensure the gun’s plunger plates are perfectly aligned with the cartridge’s rear flange to avoid ballooning, which is the leading cause of ratio drift. If the static mixer is too narrow or too long for the material’s viscosity, back-pressure will spike, causing the seals to blow or the material to bypass the internal elements.
